Montana based artist Ben Miller creates paintings using fly fishing tackles and techniques. He applies paint to his original fly brush and repeatedly casts at a sheet of polycarbonate he has set up alongside a riverbank, to paint pictures of the river he loves. With this creation technique he calls fly cast painting, in nature he becomes one with the rhythm of the river, and through his life and work he strives to celebrate and preserve these beautiful natural spaces. Upon seeing Miller’s work in 2022, SOUTH2 WEST8 proposed a collaboration offer. It incorporated his artwork into their textile, fusing art and fashion, and creating an unparalleled capsule collection. This spring, they present a second collaboration.
