テキスタイルデザイナー野口真彩子は、個性的なテキスタイルが国内外で高い評価を受ける一方、近年はスクリーンプリントによる作品集の出版や個展の開催など作家としても勢力的に活動している。この秋、ニューヨークを皮切りにNEPENTHES系列各店でエキシビジョンを開催する彼女が、テキスタイルデザイナーとしての原点やスクリーンプリントの魅力、さらには18FWで行ったENGINEERED GARMENTSとのコラボレーションについて語った。
While being a textile designer whose designs have earned international reputations, Masako Noguchi has also vigorously worked as an artist, publishing a book featuring her silkscreen artwork prints as well as holding solo exhibitions. In this fall, NEPENTHES group stores will hold her art show and pop-up store at the same time after the brand’s New York branch starts off the touring exhibition. Here she talks about the starting point of her career, the fascination of screen printing, as well as the collaborative project she did with ENGINEERED GARMENTS for the brand’s 2018 Fall/Winter collection.
