MY PLANTS

アガベ・ドラゴントゥース ： アガベの中でも特に見た目が好きな品種。
いつか庭付きの家に引っ越しできたら地植えしたいです。

Agave pygmaea’Dragon Toes’ : I want to plant the Agave species on ground if I could move to a house with a garden.

アガベ・パリー ： 葉が肉厚ですごく綺麗。特に小さい方は根が全くない状態からここまで育てたので、とても気に入っています。

Agave parryi : I’m especially attached to the smaller one because I’ve been growing it since it had no root.

アガベ・チタノータ ： 力強い棘が特徴のアガベ。マネージャーがプレゼントしてくれた黒棘の方は、なかなか珍しいと思います。

Agave titanota : My agent gave me the one with black thorns as a gift. I think it’s one of the rare kinds of the plant.

アガベ・シャークスキン ： 棘モノが好きなんです。俳優としての棘がなくなってきてるから（笑）。これは名前もカッコ良い。

Agave ‘Sharkskin’ : I like thorny plants because, as an actor, I’m no longer sharp like the thorns. The name is cool, too.

オペルクリカリア・パキプス ： どうですか、この立派な枝ぶり! 埼玉のPLANTS Xというお店で見つけて、完全に一目惚れでしたね。

Operculicarya pachypus : This Operculicarya pachypus is really well-formed, isn’t it? I instantly fell for it.

アデニア・グロボーサ ： 去年は2本しか生えなかった枝が、今年はぐんぐん伸びてきてていい感じです。今後の成長が楽しみ。

Adenia globose : Although the plant has just two branches last year, those have been spreading rapidly.

サルコカウロン・ヘレー ： 幹から棘が生えている荒々しい見た目が好みです。毎年、春にはすごく綺麗な白い花を咲かせます。

Sarcocaulon herrei : I like the tough, wild look of the plant. In spring, it bears lots of stunning white flowers.

サルコカウロン・クラシカウレ ： 一時期、サルコカウロンばっかり買い集めていたときがあって。これもその頃に購入したもの。

Sarcocaulon crassicaule : I had collected many Sarcocaulon species for a period of time. I bought it around that time.

アローディア・フンベルティ ： 棘と葉のバランスがカッコ良くて美しい。2年ほど前に買ったもので、健康状態もすごくいいです。

Alluaudia humbertii : This plant look really cool and beautiful as the thorns and leaves are in a perfect balance.

アロエ・スプラフォリアータ ： これは形がめっちゃカッコ良くないですか？この先、枯れた葉が積み重なっていくのが楽しみ。

Aloe suprafoliata : I just love the shape of this plant. Can’t wait to see the dead leaves get piled up.

アロエ・ラモシシマ ： ずっと欲しかったツリーアロエ。これはかなり探しましたね。幹が立派なものがなかなか見つからなくて。

Aloe ramosissima : Though I had always wanted tree Aloes, it took some time for me to find one with a proper trunk.

アロエ・ラエータ ： 買ったときは死にそうだったんですよ。根も付いてなくて。そこから見事に復活を果たしてくれました。

Aloe laeta : When I bought the plant, it was almost dead without any root. But, as you see, it returned to life.

アロエ・カスティロニアエ ： 葉のフチに生えた赤い棘がステキな小型アロエ。子株もいっぱい出てきていて、すごく可愛いです。

Aloe castilloniae : The red thorns at the edges of leaves look really nice. Now the plant has lots of new stocks.

エケベリア・メキシカンジャイアント ： 外葉は枯れちゃったけど、なんとか復活。株分けした子供たちもプリプリしていてステキ。

Echeveria colorata ‘Mexican Giant’ : The outer leaves are already dead but the plant itself has managed to survive.

エケベリア・ラウイ ： これもずっと探していたら、あるテレビ番組に出たときにプレゼントしていただきました。可愛いでしょ？

Echeveria laui : This is also a plant I had looked for long while. Someone gave me when I appeared in a TV program.

ダドレア・エデュリス ： うちに来たときはもっと小さかったのが、この冬にどんどん膨らんできて、かなり立派になりましたね。

Dudleya edulis : It was much smaller when I brought it to home, but it has grown a lot especially in this winter.

サンセベリア・バナナ ： 班入りのサンセベリア。葉の半分に、これだけ綺麗に黄色い斑が入った個体は珍しいと思います。

Sansevieria Banana : A species with spotted leaves. I think it’s rare to see such beautiful yellow spots on the leaves.

センナ・メリディオナリス ： 幹や枝の古木感がめちゃくちゃカッコ良い！小さい葉が昼間開いて夜になると閉じる習性も魅力的。

Senna meridionalis : The trunk and branches of this plant look so aged and cool! It closes leaves at night.

チランジア・キセログラフィカ ： 一番最初に買ったのが、このキセロ。で、気づけばこんな大所帯に（笑）。僕の原点です。

Tillandsia xerographica : It’s the first plant I have ever bought. Everything has started from this xerographica.

ディッキア・デリカータ ： NEPENTHES TOKYOで見つけたデリカータ。嬉しくて、そのまま自転車の荷台に積んで帰りました（笑）。

Dyckia delicate : I found it also at NEPENTHES TOKYO. I was so happy to get it that I rode my bike straight to home.

ディッキア・ゴエリンギー ： これもNEPENTHES TOKYOで購入。いまのワイルドな感じも好きなので、子株を切って植替えるか迷い中です。

Dyckia goehringii : From NEPENTHES TOKYO. I like its current appearance, so I’m still not sure about dividing it.

エンセファラルトス・ホリダス ： 植物の展覧会で2個まとめて購入。ここから葉が増えて大きく広がるので、これも成長が楽しみ。

Encephalartos horridus : I can’t wait to see how they would grow as they may spread their leaves really widely.

エンセファラルトス・ホリダス ： こっちは、さらにその前から育てているホリダス。鉢植えでは、結構大きい方だと思います。

Encephalartos horridus : I’ve grown this horridus for a while. It’s quite big for a container-grown plant, I guess.

パキポディウム・グラキリス ： しばらく動かなかったから、花が咲いてめっちゃ嬉しい。アンテナみたいな黄色い花も可愛いです。

Pachypodium rosulatum var. gracilius : I’m very happy that the plant finally bore such cute yellow flowers.

アデニウム・アラビカム ： 「砂漠のバラ」と呼ばれるだけあって、ピンク色の花が綺麗。アデニウムは育てるのが難しいですね。

Adenium arabicum : True to its nickname, Desert Rose, this plant bears gorgeous pink flowers. It’s hard to grow, though.

この日もそうだったんですが、ドラマや映画の撮影に入っているときは、ベランダで台詞を覚えるのがお決まりのスタイル。

Just like I did on the day, I always memorize my lines in my balcony when participating in a movie or drama.

ただ、気づいたら台本そっちのけで植物をいじってることも多くて（笑）。植木鉢の配置を替えたり、ついついサボりがちです。

However, I often find myself being busy taking care of my plants there, leaving my script behind (laughs).
